I went to this club to get an 1/8th. The staff that checked me in and the security guy were cool so I went to the medicine samples and chose "Purple Creeper", because the sample smelled sweet. I told the girl behind the counter what I wanted and she came back with one 1/8th (most clubs will present a few so the customer can choose the one they want) and when she presented the 1/8 to me she was holding on to the top of the bag tightly with both hands. There was no way to check the smell or the quality of the medicine. When I got home and tried it I was very dissatisfied. It did not smell like the sample did, and it tasted like it was grown in a sewer! I could taste mildew in it, also. I will never go back to CARE.

I used to go to opc back in the day but stopped because prices went up. Not sure what happened but amazing medicine, great new prices, and so many more strains. I was upset that the edibles weren't the same, but the ones they have there now are better and more reasonable. The staff is friendly and knows what their talking about. I had a great experience and would tell anyone to go check them out. Best dispensary in town.

All I got to say is the Change is for the better. This place got some of the best Purps in tha Town. The people are friendly and the tatooed girl behind the counter is Kool in the Gang!!!!

When I went to CARE, I was amazed as to how much has changed for the better with new management. All kinds of new cuttings rooted beautiful, so many strains to choose from.

I have never seen medidine so good for so cheap. All new concentrates and at reasonable prices. All new staff but so friendly and knowledgeable. i even got a free joint and a coupon for my next purchase. Great job guys keep up the good work!!

My partner stopped in here to see what clones they had available, we're always looking to try something new. He got a couple each of several strains. When he got to our space and opened the box, I could see that the babies where saturated with spider mites. I mean clearly visible spotting damage from them, then I flipped the leaf and could see the spider mites. We threw it under the microscope to be sure and each leaf was severeley infected.

We took them back to demand a refund and let them know how terrible a thing it is to sell someone mite-infested clones. They are idiots in there and wanted to trade for other clones.

Stay away from this place. It used to be they just had crappy strains at CARE, now it seems like they'll sell you crappy strains infested with mites, guaranteed to wipe out your whole room.

Wow! What a change OPC has made since my last visit! Where to begin...

The prices dropped by $15 an eighth, concentrates are much cheaper, the staff is now super awesome. Purchased a half of Jack today and got a free gram of hash! Keep up the good work!

The single star is solely for the jovial bald bearded guy I've seen working here one of the two times I've visited. I visit every club I go to twice, even if the first visit was awful, just to see if they had an off day.

They didn't. Clones are cheaper than other places, in every way. Utter garbage, barely rooted & poor genetics. The edible I was told was most potent was about as good as what I've made from a 3rd pressing of bubble hash...ugh. Most of the bud was so old it had little smell and looked as though a light pinch would crumble it to shake. For $50 - $65.

Worst of all is the atmosphere. The guy at the front desk was as welcoming as barbed wire, and the back was a droll, depressing bar with little lighting and no character at all. The girl working the back during one of my two visits was one of the most sour, rude and, worst of all, completely uninformed club employees I've seen to date, in, eight years now?

These people act like selling you their wares is doing you a favor. Oakland has clubs that actually try. This isn't one.

As this being my first cannabis club that I went to, I have to say I was a very satisfied customer. (I still maintain that as I've been to a few more since.)

The woman who helped me was very nice and informative on the medicine they provided. What really impressed me was that she handled the medicine with gloves so it wasn't mistreated (and I'm learning that that's something to be desired in other clubs).

They had about 15-20 strains, but were a little skimpy on the edibles/hash. For an eighth of their most expensive strain, Jack Herer, it was $65 (plus tax!). It's a little pricey but I did buy it, and I don't regret it. For good herb, I will splurge a little. It was incredibly sticky, well grown and had a very sweet, very desert like smell.

Overall I give this place 5 stars for their kindness, their care in treating this sacred plant and their delicious herb!

Good clones for a reasonable price. The buds are o.k but their prices make up for any shortcommings the product might have. Parking is a pain, though.

I am a long time patient and used to visit CARE when they were in their old location, I have heard bad stuff bout their new place so I did not go til the rumors....$65 for four grams????

W ell...worth every penny! I got 3 of two different strains that were off the hook. They als sold me on some fantastic oils and unique concentrates. A real suprise. I wanted to set the record straight......the rumors are true. If you are a true connoseur, try the Lavander. Oh! They have clones also, they claim they have'm all the time. Peace, out!

I visited the CARE coop last week. The product was excellent. Many grades to choose from. Oh, they have 4 gram vials for $55. Once, I got an outstanding purple strain for $50! Most of the time clones are available. I felt a little weird about the guard at the front. Once I got past that, the staff was ok!

While CARE has absolutely no atmosphere, I learned to be OK with guards asking me to leave my weapons at the door.

I came for clones, and they only had two varieties, neither of which was familiar to me. But I bought them anyway, at $12 each. I also got 1g. of both Bubba Kush which was good, and Master Kush which was not so great.

I would probably not return, as the clone selection was small and the militaristic feel of the place and personnel was a turnoff.

Not horrible, but not great either.

This club should probably be a one star but you do have the possability of geeting lucky. Being across from a cop shop, and being greeted by guys with badges, draws a bad vibe early.

High priced medicine with several strains usually avaiable but usually only 2 or 3 out 15 to 20 are smokeable. Clones are always avaiable here, however, you take a gamble getting sold males, hernaphrodites and even 10 different plants that are all tagged the same!!! I got males in March of 06, and July of 07,and hermies in July of 07 also. My fiends got males in March of 06, May of 06 July of 06 and June of 08.
