Oakland Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

First of all, to all you haters of Blue Sky, wake up! You must have more money than brains! I can only imagine those of you who actually gave Blue Sky anything but 4 or 5 stars have never been to Amsterdam. Yes, Blue Sky's selection could be bigger, but in the 3 years I have had my license I have visited every Oakland Dispensary, every San Francisco Dispensary, almost all Dispensaries in San Jose, and to date 372 different Dispensaries in LA. There is nowhere in the State of CA that has better prices than Blue Sky. Not to mention when you get home and place buds in your grinder you don't find spider mites in the kief tray like some dispensaries. For the price, the atmosphere being that of an Amsterdam Coffee Shop, and the staff being helpful, this place is great! As the Comic Book Guy says from the Simpson's, "Best Club Ever." |

Too high priced. They said they would get these Sensi Star clones, and 6 months later, still nothing. The bud is hit or miss literally, one week great, the next horrible. Shake is not sold by the ounce and high grade is thought, asked, balked at about it , wondering. The place is way too small! |

Disclaimer: This is the first and only dispensary I've been to since becoming a MMJ patient. |

The staff @ Blue Sky - very rude. When you ask what's best they pawn off what they're trying to rid of, not what's best! While the price is fair, I have often bought a crap bag. All the staff at Blue Sky minus 1 or 2 have the worst attitude in any dispensary I've been in. I guess you get what you pay for, eh? From what I have witnessed between Blue Sky staff and their interactions with patients, it's appalling to say the least. They have no adequate security and the parking sucks. They have one edible treat that's worth going there for, everything else is bad service and rude, rude and rude! This guy, sometimes nice, other times a bi-polar werewolf with his claws out. And, with all the sarcasm they dish out, they sure can't take it when it's thrown back at em. You should have seen the way they treated this poor sick gal tonight who was trying to give them heads up on having a flu. I was tempted to punch them for her, but restrained myself. I'd say the need a customer service training course, including the managers! |

I have usually been pleased with not only the quality of medicine, but the staff and their knowledge. This evening I went in and was outraged at the way I was treated! At the door, I told the staff member I had recently been ill with a flu and most likely it was H1N1. I was told to go outside " right now", was given nasty looks then told by a very tall man with glasses, "hey, if you want to come in and infect us all... by all means, come in". I also have HIV and HCV and wether I have a flu or not I need to get my medicine. They should know that almost 60% of the flu virus going around right now is H1N1, after all isn't that why they have hand sanitizer at the front door? With all the money they are handling, I would think they would be happy for a client to inform them, so that they can take the appropriate actions after handling my money. I had my face wrapped and hand sanitizer in my pocket and made sure not to touch any of the 3 bags they pulled out for me to pick from. Since Blue Sky deals with the sick and ill, they should know that we have compromised immune systems and it's not that unheard of for us to catch flu's easier than most. Larry, the manager, said rude and childish things, that only an uneducated person would say. Many people have the flu this time of year and H1N1 is just that, a flu! They treated me in such a way, that when I got back home I cried. I have also experienced this shop to be discriminating against transgendered clients as well. |

The price's are fair, but I think they need a bigger place (It's to small and not cozy when it's crowded) and need to have more kinds to pick from. They need to put the name of the kind of medicine on bags!! (with a little sticker), and maybe weight. |

The place is mellow and easy but the product sucks. Indica buds you'd have to smoke a trailer full to get a buzz. Forget it. |

This place is very different then the rest in my area. it was like a mini amsterdam. I had the funnest day of my life touring all of oaksterdam and the dispensaries. Even though there isnt a wide selection it is high grade medicine and worth it. It has great pricing too. |

This is the first club I've been to in Oakland. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My friend was able (who doesn't have a card) to wait for me in the coffee shop, which is very nice. The meds are not the greatest I've ever had. Next time I don't think I'll ask what they recommend, I'll choose myself. Overall though, it was a very good experience and I would go back. |

Went through the express line today. The man attending the line had a miserable attitude and was somewhat rude. Might have been the end of his work day. I understand. What I don't forgive is the 1/4 I got is dry. Crunchy. I didn't weigh it, but I'm sure it's not a quarter. I've been a card carrier for two years now and I've never been impressed with Blue Sky Coffee Shop. I don't think I'll go there anymore. |

Way too high strung. After you are ordered to the back, you sit in this tiny room that is just "awkward" space. It just wasn't that cool. There are much more "mellow" joints to hit and that's the truth. |

Just viewed your interview on CNBC. I found it very interesting. I think that this type of endeavor is becoming a necessity in our increasingly faultering economy. I also do truly believe in the beneifits of cannabis and its derivatives in the treatment of various illnesses, both physical and mental. |

Blue Sky has one of the best small selections, but always decent to very good. The other clubs in Oakland charge top dollar. |

I've gone a couple of times to this coffee shop, the place is very small, kind of crowded. Especially if you have a walker which I have its hard to squeeze thru to the room. Their selection is very limited and I mean very limited. On the positive note the people are nice there, but as far was the selection not very good. If you like variety this is not the place. Sorry. |

Staff was very helpful and very nice. I waited about 10mins to get inside because it was a very popular club [my guessing because it was packed]. Great Meds ended getting some Super Silver Haze which I got at a killer deal. Not a whole lot of strains but very good club to go to. See you soon Blue Sky. |

This was the first club I went to and I am somewhat disappointed with the meds. Don't get me wrong the service was great and very helpful but they had only a few strains available which all looked and smelt exactly the same. Ended up getting some super silver haze but I have had way better in my past. I give this club a 3 star rating because the customer service was fairly good. Only been there one time....Maybe they were having an off day. |

Love this place. My wife has a doctors recommendation, I don't because I am not sick. But when I accompany my wife to Oakland I can go in to the coffee shop get a drink while she gets what she needs. Oakland is nice and progressive but my wife feels a little vulnerable so she likes me to go with her. There are no other clubs that let me wait for her nearby or inside so this club gets 6 stars for everything. Only had problems once on a Sunday the staff was not as helpful to my wife on Sundays. But on just about every other day we have had 10 star service very friendly and kind. The only club where I can honestly say compassion is the flavor of the day. They may look at you a little funny at first but I guarantee they are all very kind once you clear the check in. I can understand the looks at first because they still have to be very careful. Best wishes to this club give them a try. |

For my first ever club it was all right. I got in and a friendly doorman greeted me and welcomed me learning it was my first time. I was about 5 people deep in line and they did have an express service in which you just tell them what you want and they go get it. Being my first time, I wanted to see the product. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, I was told to go in. There I found another line about 5 people deep. I waited there while a employee amused me. When I finally got to the counter. The had about 5 different strains. Don't get me wrong, The Pot of Gold strain I got was really good but I expected more for my first time. I might go back during the day as it was a Friday night. |

Went to SR 71 to buy some clones because Purple Heart was out of them for the whole week! Once I got in, they told me to go to the back room. I waited for about 10 min on the "U" bench. Went around and walked up to the guy and told him i wanted clones and he said that i had to ask someone else at the front of the shop. I was mad bc i waited for nothing. Went to the front asking all the different people in there. Most I couldnt tell if they worked there or not. Then got asked my the security guard to get checked again! Even though I was already in there. |

This is my favorite club in Oakland. I have been going there for years and the employees are great. Over the last year though, I don't know if the buyer has changed, but the quality isn't as high as it used to be. I have gone there on separate occasions only to find exactly the same uninspiring strains available. The edibles are very hit and miss also. Over all a great club. I just wish the selection was better. It used to be!!! |

This is the top of any shop! It is also a city of Oakland sanctioned club which means that OPD (Oakland Police Department) is not going to co-operate with a DEA/DOJ to raid or close the club, but you know anything is possible. |

The name is now Blue Sky Coffee Shop. This place is both a coffee shop and a dispensary. The place is small, but ok. When I was there, they had hash, tincture, and a small selection of cannabis. They also have a very small selection of clones. They are very helpful there, including providing information on how to grow. Would go there again. |
