I went to Blue Sky in Oakland. I only had ten dollars. I wanted to buy a puppy bag. I was not able to buy it because I was short $1.00. I left sad and in pain...I will never go back...what happend to compassion...and I am in a wheelchair.

I was spending a week in Oaktown, visiting with family and needed some herbal medicine. I picked up some Purple Urkel they had recently made available and man what a blessing! The sample I took home was lovely, dark purple, crystalline, and sweet! The high was more than we had anticipated. Very strong which is putting it mildly. Thank you Blue Sky - you made my holiday merry. I will pay you a visit before leaving.

This place blows, and not in a good way. Only one strain to choose from and it was way overpriced, not to mention dry and crumbly. I felt like I was being charged for their trash. The waiting room is smaller than my closet, not for the claustrophobic.

I have since found another place that carries the oaksterdam clones, so these fools won't be getting any more of my money.

I came all the way down from Tuolumne County and when we got there they were out of clones by nine o clock. One of the fellas came outside where we were sitting, and feeling defeated, he let us know to come on back in because he found some! We got some of the healthiest Kryptonites and Purple Kushs I've seen in a minute! These guys really saved my season! Sure they are small, but it sure as hell makes up for it in service and quality! Thanks Guys!

First of all, to all you haters of Blue Sky, wake up! You must have more money than brains! I can only imagine those of you who actually gave Blue Sky anything but 4 or 5 stars have never been to Amsterdam. Yes, Blue Sky's selection could be bigger, but in the 3 years I have had my license I have visited every Oakland Dispensary, every San Francisco Dispensary, almost all Dispensaries in San Jose, and to date 372 different Dispensaries in LA. There is nowhere in the State of CA that has better prices than Blue Sky. Not to mention when you get home and place buds in your grinder you don't find spider mites in the kief tray like some dispensaries. For the price, the atmosphere being that of an Amsterdam Coffee Shop, and the staff being helpful, this place is great! As the Comic Book Guy says from the Simpson's, "Best Club Ever."

Disclaimer: This is the first and only dispensary I've been to since becoming a MMJ patient.

I appreciate that this place is small, because I'm easily overwhelmed, especially being new to this process. Very limited selection, and they always recommend the best. This is definitely stronger than I'm used to, but probably not as strong to a long-term patient. I like that they let you open and examine the bags before deciding on a variety, and they let you pick your bag out of several, to get the one you like best. they give you free rolling papers, but no freebies for being a new patient like others advertise.

Their edibles are limited (and not very potent at all). I've offered to supply them with edibles (catering to alternative diets, like vegan, low-carb, and gluten-free), and while they said they'd love to get some samples and talk to me, after I brought some samples (some very potent high quality edibles!), it seemed like pulling teeth to get someone to take them (for free, btw), and I never received a phone call or email. There's never a manager who can speak with me when I go in there, so I have no clue if they enjoyed those freebies I worked hard on or what.

Anyhow, the place itself is kind of awkward to navigate. Sometimes I feel rushed through (until I get to the back room, and then it's laid back and friendly), and the space itself is physically hard to navigate if you have some trouble walking or use an assistive device.

I do like that the front end is a coffee shop. My partner is not a patient but has to take me everywhere, so he gets to get us coffee while I wait. Cheapest coffee in town! And fantastic chai.

Let me start by Saying, that an new to the Oakland scene, and as an outsider looking in, felt more for Blue Skies and Oaksterdam U.

That being said. The people working at blue skies were very friendly and helpful. The "high grade indica" i bought was underwhelming. Inferior to what is normally found on Market.
Bought a plethora of various edibles, most of which had little or no effect (with the exception of the lemon bars)

Lastly, i boughta "tincture" there "toungue balm" i am sure it would have been nice if the little homemade apparatusit came in actually worked. No matter which way I turned the thing it didnt work. The girl who sold it to me offered next to nothing about how it works when asked.(no directions came either)

I fully support the idea and goals of this place and organization. In my opinion, they need to step up their quality of product before i return. Found much better value in SF.

The quality of the marijuana is ok. Not bad. Not too much of a selection. The prices are great, though!! This is the least expensive of all of the clubs that I have been to. The staff @ Blue Sky - very rude. When you ask what's best they pawn off what they're trying to rid of, not what's best! While the price is fair, I have often bought a crap bag. All the staff at Blue Sky minus 1 or 2 have the worst attitude in any dispensary I've been in. I guess you get what you pay for, eh? From what I have witnessed between Blue Sky staff and their interactions with patients, it's appalling to say the least. They have no adequate security and the parking sucks. They have one edible treat that's worth going there for, everything else is bad service and rude, rude and rude! This guy, sometimes nice, other times a bi-polar werewolf with his claws out. And, with all the sarcasm they dish out, they sure can't take it when it's thrown back at em. You should have seen the way they treated this poor sick gal tonight who was trying to give them heads up on having a flu. I was tempted to punch them for her, but restrained myself. I'd say the need a customer service training course, including the managers!

I have usually been pleased with not only the quality of medicine, but the staff and their knowledge. This evening I went in and was outraged at the way I was treated! At the door, I told the staff member I had recently been ill with a flu and most likely it was H1N1. I was told to go outside " right now", was given nasty looks then told by a very tall man with glasses, "hey, if you want to come in and infect us all... by all means, come in". I also have HIV and HCV and wether I have a flu or not I need to get my medicine. They should know that almost 60% of the flu virus going around right now is H1N1, after all isn't that why they have hand sanitizer at the front door? With all the money they are handling, I would think they would be happy for a client to inform them, so that they can take the appropriate actions after handling my money. I had my face wrapped and hand sanitizer in my pocket and made sure not to touch any of the 3 bags they pulled out for me to pick from. Since Blue Sky deals with the sick and ill, they should know that we have compromised immune systems and it's not that unheard of for us to catch flu's easier than most. Larry, the manager, said rude and childish things, that only an uneducated person would say. Many people have the flu this time of year and H1N1 is just that, a flu! They treated me in such a way, that when I got back home I cried. I have also experienced this shop to be discriminating against transgendered clients as well.

Once I was put in the middle of a fight between a client and staff. I was the one who had to run and get a manager, who locked the front door after their staff repeatedly called a she client, a "he". This is unacceptable! I tried to call the shop and talk but no one ever answers the phone. To treat someone who is ill in that manner was really rude, after I had gone out of my way to forewarn them of my 10 day old flu, that may have been H1N1. I saw plenty of people in the shop sneezing and coughing - I just happened to tell them, unlike most who would just say nothing and let them go about their business. Very disappointing to have a manager, act the same way as their untrained staff. If they actually understood that H1N1 is just another type of flu, a bad one, educated them on safety protocol- i.e washing hands and using sanitizer, they wouldn't have been so rude and treated me like some kind of monster! Face it Blue Sky, many of the people that you deal with all day have a flu and odds are that a percentage of them have H1N1!!

Even if the staff are a-holes, they still have the best lemon bars in town-no doubt! But after today, I'm not sure I want to give them my business anymore... I don't care what illness a client has-if they are telling you, its because they are trying to inform you, so you can act in accordance to what makes you feel comfortable with dealing with the client.

Just viewed your interview on CNBC. I found it very interesting. I think that this type of endeavor is becoming a necessity in our increasingly faultering economy. I also do truly believe in the beneifits of cannabis and its derivatives in the treatment of various illnesses, both physical and mental.

I have been given several different anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications, but all have drawbacks, and quite frankly, we are really the "lab rats" for these drugs as many are new and only time will tell as to how they adversely affect our minds and bodies.

I wish you continued success and hope that the exposure on CNBC will cause intelligent people to see the positive aspects of your operation and other similar ones, proving that this type of endeavor can be carried out successfully with benefits not only to the economy of the region but also the medicinal benefits of this plant.

Oakland is nice and progressive but my wife feels a little vulnerable so she likes me to go with her. There are no other clubs that let me wait for her nearby or inside so this club gets 6 stars for everything. Only had problems once on a Sunday the staff was not as helpful to my wife on Sundays. But on just about every other day we have had 10 star service very friendly and kind. The only club where I can honestly say compassion is the flavor of the day. They may look at you a little funny at first but I guarantee they are all very kind once you clear the check in. I can understand the looks at first because they still have to be very careful.
