Berkeley City Council Meeting
| By Americans For Safe Access | Published July 5, 2010 |
We are in great need of patients at the Berkeley City Council meeting this week. The city really needs to hear from the patients about the taxes and patients concerns. Please help us fight the city of Berkeley and Mayor Tom Bates' proposed 2.5% tax increase on patients' medicine. We need your help and to hear your voice before the Berkeley City Council meeting, 2134 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way this Tuesday, July 6th at 7 pm. Tell him you oppose his maximum tax rates on cannabis. We suggest you tell him you approve of a 1% tax increase instead.
Please do one of the following to support this effort:
1. Call Mayor Tom Bates' office at: 510-981-6903 or email him at: mayor@ci.berkeley.ca.us
Tell him you oppose his maximum tax rates on cannabis businesses.
2. Attend the Berkeley City Council meeting this Tuesday, July 6th, 2010 at 7 pm at the Berkeley City Council meeting, 2134 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way.
