Tainted Compassion Sentencing

By Mickey Martin Compassion Medicinal Edibles
Published August 1, 2008

Please come out in a show of support for Tainted co-defendants Mickey Martin and Jessica Sanders. We need to do everything in our power to fill the courtroom with supporters, and to send a strong message that our community stands together, and that we will not tolerate this tyranny by the federal government! Mickey and Jessica need to know that we are behind them as they plead their case for justice to the Honorable Judge Claudia Wilken.

Just an update that Tainted's sentencing has been moved to September 3rd and we would love to see everyone out in a show of support to send a clear message that our community disapproves of the resources and time being wasted on prosecuting and jailing medical cannabis patients and providers here in California. Save the date and please make it if you are available.

Mickey Martin and jessica Sanders will both be sentenced. For those who are not familiar, they are a medical cannabis edible producer that was violently raided in September of 2007 for providing clean and safe non-smoked forms of medicinal cannabis to patients throughout the state. Jessica's story is particularly troubling, as she is a lower-level employee that has been hit with a felony for simply taking an order over the phone. Her dog was shot twice in the process and she has lost her funding for extended education to boot. She needs your support.

We ask graciously that members of the community please join us in using this opportunity to raise awareness for medical cannabis and protest the unnecessary attacks we continue to see on our community. The information is as follows:

By Americans for Safe Access
Published April 11, 2008

Please come out and show your support for the former Tainted Inc. employee. On September 26, 2007, the DEA raided five locations in Oakland and San Leandro, allegedly confiscating hundreds of edibles and 460 plants, and arresting Jessica Sanders (30) along with Michael Anderson (42), and Diallo McLinn (35). Tainted Edibles were available for patients as an alternative to smoking at dispensing collectives across the state. For those who do not know the story, Jessica was Tainted's order clerk. She is being charged with a felony for her use of a telephone conspiracy charge relating her taking an order for Compassion Medicinal Edibles. Sanders had a hearing last week and another date was set. Please come out and show your support!

General Appearance for Taint

Tainted Compassion Co-Defendant Court Date

By Tainted Inc
Published March 31, 2008

Jessica Sanders will be in front of the Honorable Judge Claudia Wilken tomorrow, April 2nd, for an arraignment and possible change of plea.

For those who do not know the story, Jessica was Tainteds order clerk. She is being charged with a felony for her use of a telephone conspiracy charge relating her taking an order for Compassion Medicinal Edibles.

She is really down about it, as others were given misdemeanors for their roles, but she is being hung with the scarlet letter of a felony, cutting off her
access to financial aid. It is a damn shame that the prosecution felt the need to secure two felony charges for a case like ours.

Jessica's dog was shot twice by the DEA during the raids, she has lost her right to independent housing, and now this. It is a true travesty of justice and if
you have a minute to come out for support it would be really appreciated.
